Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan

Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (Kupu SB) was established at the beginning of the New Year 1428 Hijrah corresponding to January 20, 2007, the following declaration of His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah son of the late Al-Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the king early New Year Hijrah 1428. He has decreed for the upgrade to the University College of the Religious Teachers College. Kupu SB intended to be a superior religious teaching institution, the pride of the country, meet the needs of the country and was ready to open its doors to overseas students.

In early August 2007, the Kupu SB has started her studies in the program:

• Bachelor of Religious Teachers (Ushuluddin)

• Bachelor of Religious Teachers (Shariah),

• Highest Diploma in Religious Teaching (Ushuluddin)

• Highest Diploma in Religious Teaching (Syariah)

• Religious Teaching Diploma (Ushuluddin)

• Diploma in Religious Teaching (Syariah) and

• Post Graduate Diploma in Religious Teaching.

The establishment represents a unique landmark with upholding Islamic learning and teaching religious scriptures of knowledge turath Malays. At this time moths SB has three Faculties: the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Faculty of Shariah and the Faculty of Education, and five centers, namely the Core Knowledge Centre, Centre, Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Centre for Research Understanding Waljama'ah Sunni and Multimedia Center and Technology.Based on the integration of knowledge, training, research, service, technology and holistic self-identity, as expressed in its founding mission, Kupu SB will stand proudly and be recognized as an institution of higher learning that national pride of international fame.

Publishing Center College of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University was established to disseminate experience, research and writing academic members of the university community in particular and society as well as regional Brunei Darussalam in general. Publishing Centre took the initiative to make academic writings as a potential manuscript for publication


• Publishes educational materials are scholars and scholars of Brunei Darussalam graduates and overseas.

• Handle publication of books, journals, proceedings and newsletters.

• Handle publication miscellaneous works such as books programs, brochures, certificates and others.

• Plan and determine the production of books.

• Collect, evaluate, edit, check the ingredients to be published.

• Promoting published books Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan local and international level.


• Encourage each member of the College's academic Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University specifically to research, write and publish their research results.

• Publish quality academic books, particularly in the field of education and teaching religion in Malay, English and Arabic.

• Providing thoughtful comments and information on a topic or issue of the Journal of Teacher education through published once a year.

• Delivering the latest news and events information Kupu SB through the College newsletter published periodically (biennial).
